Join the New Story Stewards Program
If you’re reading this page, you’ve taken time to learn about the New Story and are ready to join the New Story Stewards Program.
We’re grateful you’ve found your way here!
The registration process is intended for us to get to know participants better, which will help us to prepare well for our journey together into the New Story Stewards Program.
Welcome
The Gift Economy
This program is offered in the spirit of the Gift Economy and there is no direct fee and all are welcome.
We have also learned that it is helpful for participants to know the costs involved in offering this program.
Long before you arrive for your first gathering, much work has been done to prepare for your arrival.
Every gathering reflects years of discernment, curriculum development, facilitator preparation, administration, communications, technology, planning, and the many visible and invisible acts of hospitality that make this community possible.
The total cost of Stewards Program is $57,270. Our Fund Development Plan has these goals:
Book Sales $750
Donations $1,000
Grants $5,000
Pro-Bono Contributions from Staff $46,020
Gift Economy From Participants $4,500 (Average Gift $450 from 10 participants)
We share this not because participation has a price, but because we believe generosity grows when people understand what they are receiving and what it takes to make it possible.
Participation remains open regardless of financial circumstances. Participants respond in many different ways according to their own circumstances. Some contribute less than the community’s estimated gift. Some contribute approximately that amount. Others contribute more, helping extend these opportunities to future participants.
Like every gift, it is best if offered freely. We simply invite you to respond in whatever way feels right and good for your own circumstances.
